Luthea interviewed SalomOrgullosa of showing his third album "Kick in the Head" by: the Son of ENOZ

Salom Luthea Today interviewed a large singer-songwriter who has recently submitted its third album, "Kick in the Head" . Until very recently, had heard his name and some individual songs. Little by little I was forced to go following it. And I found a great artist with a wonderful career ahead.

Of all the cities we've lived (London, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bNew York ...), What do you consider your home?
I feel equally comfortable in Barcelona and New York. London is a city with a special energy, but just a little too gray and sad for this girl that feels half and half North American Mediterranean, where the sun shines and shines almost daily.

Playing in small clubs in Manhattan you are being released in the U.S.. Lou Reed and Alava helps. Is there much difference between letting you know in the U.S. and Spain?
driría Usually you there are not many differences but for the size of the U.S.. Spain is the equivalent of only three U.S. states, with which the territory becomes a tad easier to cover in Spain, and it shows especially when gacer tours. And more people more land, more people and more artists, more artists and more fierce competition.

recently published your third album, "Kick in the Head" . Are you satisfied with the outcome? "The reception of the group?
Yes, the truth is I am very happy and proud of my third job! It was recorded in Spain and mixed and mastered in the U.S., and the final result is a marvel: an energy disk, which gives good vibes, full of details and yet very empty. I think he has the perfect balance. And the reception is still beautiful! I am very happy!

compositional level, how do the job? Send to music, first letter ... How do you do?
The house the start with the melody and chords. Once I have that foundation, I begin to feel where the song will gradually go from hearing the lyrics that's out there hidden in the melody. The most crucial and difficult for me when composing a song is to know the subject, the bottom of this. Once I have that, find the right words to express it is much easier ...

pass from Malcolm Burn Valenti Adell in the production of your latest album does not have to be a step backwards, but how much has changed the way we work and the end result? Skip
Malcolm Burn Valenti Adell was a big step forward! Although Malcolm has more than name, has won a Grammy Award, has worked with major Canadian artists both established and is based in the U.S., in my opinion Valentí not has absolutely nothing to envy ... Unfortunately it is still very typical of Spain considered that the outside is better and I think it's a big mistake, because here we have great producers and artists! I chose to do my album in Europe who believe that music is being done now in Europe is more interesting than what is coming out of the U.S. in general.

During the recording of my last job I was well-understood creatively. Valenti has a very structured way of working that gives you confidence. It is serene and fair in the study, a perfectionist and very professional. Malcolm is too erratic, unpredictable and somewhat aggressive, making you feel inhibited in the studio ... and that means that creativity and ideas flow rust.
The end result of this CD, in my opinion, demonstrates the joy and good cheer that took place during the three months we were working in the studio ... Evidence has been shaped. And to prove just have to look at new videos that outline the process of recording the CD, which were filmed weekly in the studio and hang in my youtube page .

Barcelona is a city for the creation and discovery. Have you discovered lately some artist in the Mediterranean that surprised you? What has it meant for you to Barcelona?
For me Barcelona is my other home, my other place in the world, my window overlooking the Mediterranean, the box of memories of my youth, bright, cheerful and slightly ... Greeted me feel very good there. And as for Mediterranean artists I like the proposal to Maika Makovsky, is very honest and laid back. Very it.

With style indie music - folk, a woman and a guitar There are great artists in our country. Anni B. Sweet, Red Russian English or in English Zahara. Are you afraid that this style is saturated?
Absolutely. The music has no style really. The music just sounds ... Trends are those that take time to put clothes, that style, that label. Now takes the guitar? because the songs are accompanied by guitar. Then he takes the ukulele? Same thing ... From here a few years will be another musical costume, but the songs are and always have been what really counts. People actually in love with a voice, a melody, a letter, from a song ... and not a style. Artists parimos nude subjects, and producers are responsible for putting the stylish clothes of the moment. Expire styles but the songs remain.

Your second job, "Sunbeam Surrounded by Winter" won 7 Grammy nominations. It has been more than two years until the next job. Is there any reason to disappear?
were several years, but for me it flew! I turned hard by Spain, Portugal, USA and Germany ... and then locked me to compose. From there we followed the recording of "Kick In The Head", which was quite long! A total of 6 months between the recording, mixing and mastering. The palace things go slowly, as they say the grandmothers.

If you do not mind, we turn to some typical questions from our blog.
Do you remember which was the first album that you played as a kid? For
Beatles, Rolling Stones and David Bowie ... in the car, that's what put my parents.

festivalero Are you? "In Spain you see signs that you like most? What sign would you lead?
ALL! haha ... Especially in Benicassim. But I also really like participate in festivals cycles and smaller, more intimate format.

"Electric or acoustic? Acoustic
! I am too lazy to carry an amp up and down ... hahaha.

And speaking of live, how is the opening act for artists such as Alanis Morissette and Norah Jones?
An unforgettable experience! Once you learn to enjoy sharing the stage with artists of this stature.

Tell us a bit about your upcoming concert schedule.
April has been rainy in concerts ... We are working on several things, planning the marketing campaign to launch the CD in the U.S. in October and other projects, videos, etc, etc ...
Thirteenth and last question, tell us what your musical desire for the future.
grow and grow ... and continue to give fair and honest voice my artistic interests.

Thank you for your time Luthea, long time and still so lovely.
